The exhibition “100 Titles” by Frédéric Pasquini

Latest News

From March 29 to June 23, 2024, the Charles Nègre Photography Museum Gallery honors the local Nice photographer Frédéric Pasquini with an exhibition highlighting everyday scenes.

The exhibition “100 Titles” by Frédéric Pasquini features 100 photographs capturing reality, moments of everyday life, primarily in Europe. These images are rich in references to the history of photography as well as cinematographic culture and poetry. He immortalizes moments that reveal a different reality from the one initially perceived.

The photographer captures both facial expressions and unexpected moments in social movements, the poetry of a scene, or the strangeness of seemingly ordinary situations. The diversity of subjects immediately draws attention. By discovering the titles of each image, we fully follow his approach and come to understand the scene and its meaning. “Each title is an anchor point to enter a fleeting universe like an accidental fairground between emptiness, absurdity, poetry, and the derision of the world around us,” the photographer explains.
