OGC Nice: The First Three Signings Presented

Latest News

Pierre Lees-Melou, Adrien Tamรจze, and Jean-Victor Makengo, the three new arrivals at OGC Nice, were presented to the press yesterday morning.

In the depths of the Allianz Riviera, OGC Nice invited the press at the end of the morning. Jean-Pierre Rivรจre and Lucien Favre accompanied the three new recruits, each introducing themselves in turn.

First, Adrien Tamรจze, the new number 5 of the Gym, spoke. “It’s pronounced Tamรฉzรฉ”, clarified the former Valenciennes player right away. He is delighted to join the Nice project and hopes to follow in the footsteps of Wylan Cyprien (among others) to take a step forward. “I was already following the Aiglons, who were very pleasant to watch play last season”, he explained. “I already have friends here: Alassane Plรฉa, Arnaud Lusamba, and Rรฉmi Walter”. Adrien Tamรจze was indeed trained at Nancy before joining Valenciennes.

Jean-Victor Makengo then took over. Transferred from Caen, the young 18-year-old player, already compared to N’Golo Kantรฉ or Nampalys Mendy, was highly sought after, as Jean-Pierre Rivรจre explained: “There was a lot of competition for this signing,” and Lucien Favre added that “Jean-Victor has been followed for a very long time by OGC Nice.” Jean-Victor Makengo has chosen to wear number 27 this season.

Known as JV, he mainly wishes to progress and, as he explains with a smile, “I couldn’t refuse the Nice project. I said yes right away.” Another sign that the Gym has become an attractive and enticing club.

Finally, Pierre Lees-Melou, the latest addition to the Gym, then sat down in front of the journalists. He chose number 7 and reminded everyone that he was still a supervisor a few years ago: “I liked my former job. But I realize the luck I have today to wake up and play football. That’s why I always smile. It makes me want to continue working hard.”

The three players are eager to step onto the Allianz Riviera pitch: “I came to play with Dijon last year. The atmosphere was superb,” recalled Pierre Lees-Melou. Tamรจze and Makengo, on the other hand, hadn’t had that chance. “All I know is that they’re passionate here,” concluded JV Makengo.
