The latest NCAA press conference left us starry-eyed. The future of the club seems bright with the approach of the Olympics, and a new logo has been unveiled!
The conference began with a review of the 2024 edition of the Bellet Festive. This race, open to everyone, takes the tour of the Nice vineyards on a 17km course. Despite the rain that joined the event that day, the 600 participants, many of whom came in costume for the occasion, did not lack good humor. It was therefore a successful edition!
NCAA at the Olympics
Two athletes from the NCAA were present at this conference, and both have chances to participate in the Paris Summer Olympics. The first is decathlete Makenson Gletty, who is currently eligible for the Olympics. Makenson is today’s best French decathlete ahead of Kevin Mayer, whom we hope will join him in Paris. He is only missing 17 points to be officially qualified, points that the Frenchman will easily obtain in Rome next month.
The second athlete present is Emma Montoya, a specialist in the 400 meters hurdles, who is eligible for the 4ร400 meters at the Olympics. Despite a hamstring injury, her recovery is imminent, so she will be able to resume, with the help of her new coach, the race for qualification. But there are many other eligible athletes like Mathilde Andraud, Rouguy Diallo, and others who are the pride of the Nice club.
Goals to rise to Elite 2
The NCAA’s goal is not a secret; it is to regain its place in Elite 1 and thus enter the top 8 clubs. Last year, great performances allowed the club to move up to Elite 2, and now things are clear, “we truly have an ambition to move up to Elite 1,” declared Nicolas de Saint Remy, the club’s director.
“We will come back, I have returned and we are coming back”

A tribute to Michel Lourie
Stรฉphane Diagana was moved as he paid tribute to Michel Lourie. He served as president of the NCAA from 2009 to 2016. He was a great coach who led France to an Olympic medal in Moscow in the 4ร100 meters. A legend of the club who will remain in the hearts of enthusiasts.
A new identity for the club!
And to end on a high note, the club is revolutionizing its identity with a new logo. The colors mauve and yellow are still present to respect the history of the NCAA. It also very well represents Nice and athletics with the eagle, the sun, the mountains, the sea, and the athletics track.
With a new logo comes a new jersey as well. The Nice supplier NOLT has the honor of producing this new jersey. An eco-friendly and low-cost jersey to reach as many people as possible and allow even the most underprivileged to access an athletics jersey.
