The Departmental Association of Parents and Friends of Persons with Mental Disabilities of the Alpes-Maritimes (ADAPEI AM), in partnership with the Lenval Foundation, has set up a skills and outsourced services center for people with disabilities. Their aim is to provide tailored responses to their needs.
The new premises, at 1 Place Gรฉnรฉral Goiran in Nice, offer the services of a psychologist, a specialized educator, and a social worker. The center has signed a partnership agreement and complementarity for health and disability support. “The existing networks complement a range of medico-social services, providing a flexible and tailored response,” says Patrick Marchetti, departmental president of the ADAPEI of the Alpes-Maritimes.
“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is a success,” begins Patrick Marchetti, quoting Henry Ford. This center is the result of an initiative based on a platform and cooperation model. A successful challenge. The team aims to make this arrangement lasting beyond 2018. Arnaud Pouillart, Managing Director of the Lenval Foundation, explains: “We have managed to pool our respective skills in the medico-social and health fields. And, thanks to a smooth and efficient cooperation, we work in harmony and with professionalism.”
On a daily basis, the team manages situations individually and actively seeks adapted solutions. “We have the ability to leave no one on the sidelines,” insists Yvan Denion, departmental delegate of the Alpes-Maritimes for the ARS PACA. The stakes are high, as it is necessary to support the personโs journey, find answers, and solutions.
