Images and Mountains Festival in St Martin Vésubie

On July 20th, the third edition of the “Hervé Gourdel Mountain Photography Weekend” begins. On this occasion, the event is changing its name to “Festival Images et Montagnes,” in memory of Hervé Gourdel.


Over the three days of the festival, short and feature films will be shown continuously. There will also be a competition featuring twelve photography exhibitions, workshops, and activities for everyone.

Conferences and discussions with the artists will take place, encouraging cultural exchange.
The festival will be held throughout the community, in the streets, shops, chapels, and town hall.

THURSDAY, JULY 20 – 8 PM
– “Introspection,” directed by Lionel Prado
– “Narcose,” directed by Julie Gautier
– “Mercantour, a Shared Paradise,” directed by Caroline Audibert

FRIDAY, JULY 21 – 8:30 PM
– “Orellana, the Madness of Aguirre,” directed by Mathieu Vernerey
Short film about a conquistador, shot in the Mercantour with actors and extras from the Nice mountain community. Tribute to the film “Aguirre, the Wrath of God” by Werner Herzog.
– “Two Lovers and a Bear,” directed by Kim Nguyen

SATURDAY, JULY 22 – 8:30 PM
– “The Annapurna in a Chair,” directed by Dominique Derda
– “The Climb,” directed by Ludovic Bernard
