The Nice Christmas Village was inaugurated on December 7th at Place Massรฉna. Hereโs an overview of everything offered to make your time festive.
Artisanal wooden toys, customizable bags, chocolates shaped like pebbles, origami lightingโat the Nice Christmas market, which has opened its doors since December 7th, thereโs plenty to shop for and enjoy along the way.
There are 45 chalets offering a wide variety of Christmas products. Dining spaces and artisanal products can be found in this large area open until January 7th. On the menu: mulled wine, Christmas beer, charcuterie, cheeses, oyster bars, champagne, socca, waffles, Argentine specialties…
This year, the Christmas Village introduces a new ride called โSantaโs Reindeer,โ perfect for the little ones. The multicultural chalet also makes its debut. Until December 17th, partner cities and guests from around the world will take turns in this chalet, such as Cuneo, Alicante, Rio, Yerevan in Armenia, and Kamakura in Japan, as part of the twin city agreements with Nice.
At the heart of the village, traditional Christmas music and songs are on the program starting at 2 pm on the Santa Claus stage. Musicians, singers, bands, and composers take turns to perform a varied and festive repertoire.
Childrenโs activities
For the little ones, the sugar cabin is open from 2 pm to 7 pm, offering a great opportunity for Christmas face painting. Children can also enjoy the Ferris wheel, rides, and inflatable structures.
The Santaโs House is open daily from 11 am to 8 pm, and until 10 pm on Friday and Saturday. To meet Santa and capture the moment, visit every Wednesday and weekend, and every day during the school vacation from December 23rd to 25th from 2 pm to 7 pm.
There are free shows for children starting at 3 pm, from December 23rd. Eleven performances by various companies will enliven the atmosphere of the Christmas Village until it closes.
