Heading towards the finish line is Gilles Frediani, who has reached the Spivol ridge, the final marker of the event before the finish line. Only 8 kilometers left to secure the win! With a passage at kilometer 137 in 24h 49min, he will not, however, beat last year’s record of 25 hours.
Lucien Loyer has now overtaken Philippe Lecourt, who had been holding second place since the beginning of the event. He is the only one to have passed kilometer 133 after Gilles Frediani.
Irini Malejonock continues her effortless journey. The only woman to have passed the 111th kilometer marker, she still holds a considerable lead over her pursuers and, barring any failure, will be hard to catch.
