This Sunday, June 23, the 10th Patrick Mouratoglou Charity Gala took place. It was held in Biot, near Nice, where stars and sports legends gathered. The goal? To raise funds for the Champโ€™seed Foundation and help promising talents achieve their dreams.

Ronaldo, Mike Tyson, Jarry, Shyโ€™m, Muriel Robin, Anne Le Nen, Alicia Aylies, and Adil Rami were the guests of Patrick Mouratoglou at this 10th Charity Gala in Biot. All gathered around the tennis racket-shaped pool to make donations for the Champโ€™seed Foundation. Created in 2014, it aims to “support the most promising tennis talents and help them reach the highest international level.”

A Great Success

Since its inception, the Patrick Mouratoglou Foundation has reportedly raised over 4 million euros. Among its “alumni,” the foundation boasts three players ranked in the world’s top 10. These include Stefanos Tsitsipas, a two-time Monte Carlo Masters winner and world number 5, Coco Gauff, a Roland-Garros finalist in 2022 at only 18 years old, and Holger Rune, winner of the Rolex Paris Masters at the age of 19. This year, during the evening, an auction reportedly raised several hundred thousand euros more. Ronaldo won a racket signed by world number 2, Coco Gauff, for 30,000 euros. He also stated that he prefers tennis to football, a comment that amused the 350 participants that evening.

Grateful Celebrities

Like him, other celebrities expressed their thoughts. For Jarry, his presence makes sense, as for him, “itโ€™s a place where the greatest champions are trained.” Additionally, Adil Rami, the French footballer, mentioned: “This gala is an important date each year because it’s for a good cause. It’s an honor to be part of the team, well, the family.” And Serena Williams, who could not be present: “Congratulations Patrick for everything you’ve achieved with your foundation. Ten years already! I remember when you launched it and wanted to change the way young people approach tennis to help them have a great career. I had never heard of such a unique and innovative idea. Ten years later, you’re still doing amazing things.

Towards a New Generation

The Champโ€™seed Foundation also supports a new generation of players. The youngest of the Fruhvirtova sisters, Brenda, recognized as the best player in her category (2007). Additionally, the prodigious Ksenia Efremova, the talented brother-sister duo, Clervie and Carel Ngounoue, and the young French hopeful Moรฏse Kouamรฉ. All are under the wing of Patrick Mouratoglou, coach and supporter of these young hopes of world tennis. As explained by French actor Arnaud Ducret: “The funds raised will help many young people who do not have the financial means to train, so raising funds and discovering talents in places where these young people do not have access to tennis courts and facilities is a pleasure to be here.
