The Sports Film Festival is in full swing!

Latest News

Since Tuesday, events have been unfolding rapidly for the Côte d’Azur Sport Film Festival. After a conference at the IAE with the first and second-year students from the EDJ, the day continued at the Château de Valrose.

It was in an amphitheater at the IAE (university) that the day began for the members of FICTS. The journalism school students from Nice were invited to a conference on the theme of securing the Paris 2024 Olympics. Led by Bruno Kauffmann (former sports journalist at TF1), Jérôme Vandamme (President of the Sport-Enterprise Federation 06), and Renato Ferrari (honorary president of the University Sports Club of Milan), this conference allowed students to learn more about the specifics of Paris’ 2024 bid (cost, organizational timeline from today until 2024, allocation methods, and more).

An evening at the Château de Valrose to conclude

About fifty people attended last night to participate in a conference organized in parallel by the Panathlon Nice Côte d’Azur. The conference lasted a little over three hours, during which several educators specializing in sports shared their insights on the Olympic legacy and the image of sport. Topics included the media presence of so-called “minor” sports such as judo and clay pigeon shooting. Another point discussed was the role of cinema in the evolution of sports event broadcasting, notably through the film Olympia’52.
