This Thursday, July 4th, the summer cultural program was presented by the mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi. Once again, the City of Nice offers a summer season rich in cultural events. There will also be numerous festive and friendly activities across its 6 areas. Here’s a summary.
Concerts, exhibitions, theater, musical evenings, improv theater matches, open-air cinema… The program includes nearly 100 free activities for young and old. These events will take place in every area. Starting today, each neighborhood becomes the epicenter of a celebration, vibrating to the rhythm of warm evenings.
Between Sports and Culture
Among the program, a few dates to remember: from July 8th to August 4th, aperitif tales are scheduled at the TNN bandstand on the Paillon Promenade. From July 8th to 9th, at the Jardin des Arènes de Cimier, “a summer in France” with Gautier Capuçon. Open-air cinemas are scheduled every Wednesday at 9:30 PM. On July 9th, at the castle hill, the 120th anniversary of OGC Nice will take place. Gatsby arrives from July 12th to August 30th. And the parade on July 14th.
Also in July, the Nice Classic Festival will be held from August 18th to 31st. On July 21st, it’s the historic arrival of the Tour de France. To celebrate the arrival, shows, activities, and drone performances will be highlighted.
Not to mention the 2024 Olympic Games from July 24th to 31st at the Nice Stadium. The Neon Festival from July 26th to 28th. The Beaches of Laughter from July 29th to 31st. Along with the Frenchie Aperitif and the Guinguette Evenings. Or the International Folklore Festival “La Farandole” from August 7th to 11th. The Malonat Festival on August 27th and 28th.
The Nice Jazz Festival from August 20th to 23rd. The Show of the Misunderstanding from August 21st to 30th. The ball for the 80th anniversary of Liberation. The Cross Over Festival featuring the best of rap. Concerts, like those of Travis Scott or Luidji, are also planned. Or for sports fans, the IronMan Women’s World Championship on September 22nd.

In Nice, there are also exhibitions. You will be able to find the Miromatisse from June 28th to September 29th. Berthe Morisot at the Fine Arts Museum from June 7th to September 29th. Enter the intimacy of the collections at Lascaris Palace starting July 13th. At the Masséna Museum, attend the exhibition of Cabu, on sports, from June 15th to September 22nd. Or discover biodiversity at the Natural History Museum from June 7th to November 10th.
At the Photography Museum, you’ll find Bettina Rheims and Marine Foissey. Finally, at the Museum of Prehistory and Archaeology, the exhibition “Tools, Between Art and Science” and also “From Gesture to Flame” until September 22nd.
