The “Engagement and Citizenship” program allows middle schools in the Alpes-Maritimes to raise students’ awareness of republican and civic values and the issues of civil security.
This program was established thanks to a partnership between the Prefecture of Alpes-Maritimes, the Fire and Rescue Service of Alpes-Maritimes, the Police, the Gendarmerie, and the Army.
As part of the departmental action plan for promoting civic and republican values among young people launched in 2015, the Department has decided to support this program by funding the purchase of class uniforms. These uniforms will be worn by students during meetings, training sessions, and outings dedicated to the “Engagement and Citizenship” program.
