Paul Augier High School* is a jewel of the region and contributes to the excellence of initial professional training and adult education in the fields of tourism, hospitality, and catering.

This school is at the heart of the National Interest Operation Plaine du Var / Eco-Valley sector. It is a transforming territory that is expected to drive strong economic and social dynamics in the entire Nice urban area and beyond, to the Alpes-Maritimes and the entire region!

“The high school,” stated Christian Estrosi, in his role as deputy president of the Region, “is at the center of a strategy that aims to make our region the place of excellence for training in tourism, hospitality, and catering professions across the Mediterranean basin and the Alpine Arc, tourist areas with international influence.”

For him, “the level of excellence of the training provided was no longer in line with the quality of the building and the equipment. Built in 1993, this high school has numerous malfunctions due both to the aging infrastructure and pedagogical developments. It also does not have any sports facilities!”

That is why, a significant renovation project for this high school was approved during the Standing Committee of the Regional Council on May 13, 2016, and includes the restructuring of 18,000 m², the replacement of kitchen equipment, and a new 1,390 m² extension. The estimated cost of this work is 30 million euros.

Christian Estrosi took this opportunity to reaffirm the support of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region for the educational world, through the restoration of school establishments and the high school safety plan.
