A photographic exhibition “VENICE 2017” in Roquebillière

Collective photographic exhibition at the Roquebillière Tourist Office until November 10th

“In the heart of winter, before the Lent period brings calm to people’s minds, Venice comes to life: it celebrates ‘its’ Carnival.

The narrow streets, the canals, the bridges, suddenly everything becomes a dazzling display of color in the sublime setting of the City of the Doges.

The PIAZZA SAN MARCO is no longer invaded by its legendary pigeons: they now have no room left to put on a spectacle.

In Café Florian, where masks and costumes jostle, an atmosphere of yesteryear prevails.

The Vaporettos continuously cross the Grand Canal, disgorging a stream of hurried tourists.

Amidst this unparalleled hustle and bustle, photographers attempt to capture the beauty and richness of the masks and costumes, some of which are the result of an entire year’s work.

It is this constant wonder that we wish to share with you, hoping to inspire you to discover or re-discover this magical City.”
