International Rain of Awards for the Côte d’Azur Sports Film Festival

Latest News

The Côte d’Azur Sports Film Festival, organized by an association chaired by Claire Peradotto in partnership with the French Regional Olympic Sports Committee (CROS) and its departmental counterpart (CDOS), has now secured its place among the greats.

In its second edition, the azure festival has been cited and rewarded several times by the International Federation of Sports Cinema (FICTS), associated with the IOC, during the gala week that brought together representatives from 16 festivals organized worldwide for the awarding of prizes and rewards to the best films from various countries’ challenges.

The president of the Côte d’Azur Festival jury, Gérard Camy, president of Cannes Cinema, received the Garland of Honor for his remarkable literary work “Cinema & Sport”.

Four films that were awarded at the festival held in Sophia Antipolis and Nice from September 26 to 29 (the prize-giving ceremony took place at the National Sports Museum, an oh-so-symbolic choice!) were selected in various categories.

Although none of them received the world first prize, three films, Elbrus (skiing, director Laurent Jamet), Cinecittà on Wheels (skateboarding, Inti Carboni), A passo d’oro-Franco Nones la leggenda di un fondista (skiing, Alberto Beltrami & Lia Giovinazzo Beltrami), were awarded the Honorable Mention.
