The French women’s handball team are world champions thanks to their victory against Norway, the reigning champions, 23 to 21, in the final this Sunday, December 17, in Hamburg. This is the second title for the “Bleues” after 2003.

Jannela Blonbou, a right back, was born on October 4, 1998. She was still playing in the National 1 league with the reserve team of OGC Nice a year ago, and she was among the 18 players that make up the French national team for these world championships.
