The closure of the social grocery store in the Moulins neighborhood is causing a stir: The Dialogues social grocery store should have been saved, states the socialist group of the city council in a press release.
“The closure of the Dialogues social grocery store, opened in 2012 in the Moulins, is bad news for the associative sector in general and for the solidarity network in particular.
Its social usefulness is no longer in question, as unfortunately more than 5,600 families have visited it.
This situation demonstrates the usefulness of subsidized jobs in this specific sector and what their removal leads to.
It also reveals the political priorities of the current municipality, which has just spent nearly a million euros on Nice’s illuminations but could not find 20,000 euros to save the structure.”
