As part of the preparation for the Nice-Cannes Marathon, which will take place on Sunday, November 3, 2024, Patrick Montel will come to encourage the department’s agents tomorrow afternoon at the Charles Ehrmann Stadium.
Wednesday, October 2 will mark a special moment for the future participants of the marathon. The former iconic sports journalist of France Tรฉlรฉvisions, Patrick Montel, will be present at Charles Ehrmann Stadium from 12:30 PM. Now very active on social media through his Radio Montel account, “the voice of athletics” will gather testimonials from the participants. His presence will bring a media and symbolic dimension to this training session, offering additional motivation to the department’s participating agents a few weeks before the event.
Another date to remember: Wednesday, October 9, for one of the last training sessions. The president of the Departmental Council, Charles-Ange Ginesy, will train alongside the famous British marathon runner Paula Radcliffe. The former women’s marathon world record holder will bring her expertise to refine the preparation of the runners for this 16th edition of the Nice-Cannes Marathon.
This year, more than 17,000 runners are expected at the starting line for the various distances.
