This Thursday, December 5th, Pépite will make a stop in Nice for an intimate concert at Frigo 16. The Parisian duo, which navigates between modern pop and melancholy, will present tracks from their latest album “Les Années Lumières” as well as emblematic pieces from their repertoire.
Formed in 2015 by Thomas (singer) and Édouard (musician and producer), Pépite has established itself as a key player on the French independent pop scene. Since their debut with the EP Les Bateaux, the group has impressed with compositions combining poetry, gentleness, and luminous melodies.
Their first album, Virages (2019), confirmed their talent for capturing emotions. Love, hope, regrets, and wonder intersect in their songs, supported by innovative sounds. With their new work, Les Années Lumières, Pépite continues their musical exploration. Recorded by the sea, this album offers tracks that oscillate between summer tranquility and more introspective echoes. An unusual method born from their meeting on a Breton beach a few years ago.
The single L’Été, the first track revealed, is a fine example. The lyrics, written by Thomas, evoke a summer marked by waiting and boredom. All on a pop and lively production imagined by Édouard.
