This Saturday, the Francis Gag Theatre announced its program for the 2025-2026 season. A varied program with five shows supported by the city of Nice.

The 2025-2026 season is launched at the Francis Gag Theatre. This Saturday, the Nice theatre revealed its program for this new season. Some loyal patrons of the venue were able to attend this launch ceremony. The presentation was kicked off with a Spanish song performed by Yohanna Fuchs, accompanied by a cello.

After this musical introduction, Jennifer Moreau, the theatre’s director, spoke. She did not hide her enthusiasm for this new theatrical season, which will begin on September 26. Eva Mari will be in charge of launching this new year with her show “LOVE IT!”, for which she received the Moliรจre Award for solo performance in 2024. A show suitable for all audiences, accessible from the age of 13.

Forty-seven performances and a varied program

This season, the Francis Gag Theatre announced 47 performances, including two created by the theatre’s troupes. In addition, there are performances for different school classes. A rich and varied program until the end of May 2026. Indeed, from solo theatre performances to dance and visual arts, including magic, every spectator can find something they enjoy.

In total, 29 shows are accessible to the general public. For the second consecutive season, the theatre offers a selection of ten family shows. A clearly stated intention by the management to provide everyone access to their services.

Five residency shows this season

The Francis Gag Theatre is the city of Nice’s theatre. Each year, the city council offers residency sessions at “Gag” to help theatre and live arts companies from the metropolis finalize their projects. Three new productions were welcomed this year: “The Figure of the Hero” by the Limite Larsen Theatre company, “The Knight’s Game” by the company Que la Magie soit, and “Bloom” by the Narrative Body company.

These three shows are scheduled this season and are added to two other shows supported by the residency, which are launching this season. “The Forgotten of the Party” by the Cacho Fio! company and “The Last Seven Strolls of Grandma Jeanine” by the La Charrette aux tiroirs company are also on the program, after having joined the residency in the previous period.

The five authors were able to speak during this opening evening. They explained their artistic choices and briefly presented their project to the audience present in the room.
