The President of the Republic is expected to visit Nice on Sunday, June 14, 2026, to inaugurate Bharat Innovates. Organized at the Exhibition Palace, this trade show will bring together startups, researchers, industrialists and investors for three days around cutting-edge technologies. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected for the opening.

Emmanuel Macron is expected to travel to Nice on Sunday, June 14, 2026. A first visit since the United Nations Conference held in June 2025. According to several consistent sources, the President of the Republic will inaugurate Bharat Innovates 2026, a trade show dedicated to DeepTech technologies to be held at the Exhibition Palace until June 16.

The official program of the event also provides for the presence of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the opening ceremony. This inauguration will mark the launch of the Indo-French Year of Innovation 2026.

This visit will take place several weeks before the already announced trips of the head of state to Cannes, on June 25 and 26, then to Nice on the occasion of the commemoration of the July 14 attack.

A meeting dedicated to cutting-edge technologies

Organized by the Indian Ministry of Education in partnership with France, Bharat Innovates will bring together the main players in technological innovation for three days. The trade show will gather startups, higher education institutions, research laboratories, industrialists, investors as well as institutional representatives.

In total, 120 Indian startups will be present. Participating companies will represent thirteen technological fields, including artificial intelligence, health, energy, biotechnology, aerospace, defense, agritech and climate-related technologies.

Twenty Indian higher education and research institutions will also participate in the event. Organizers plan to present projects, research work and technological solutions developed within these institutions.

The trade show will offer conferences, round tables, startup presentation sessions as well as professional meetings. Participants will be able to exchange on research projects, technological development, investment or university cooperation.

The first day will be dedicated to the official inauguration and several presentations on innovation challenges and international partnerships. On June 15, startups will present their projects during sessions dedicated to different business sectors. Meetings between investors, industrialists and entrepreneurs are also planned. The last day will be devoted in particular to exchanges between businesses, universities and research centers, with several agreements scheduled to be signed.

According to the organizers, Bharat Innovates aims to connect the Indian technology ecosystem with international players. The event will take place from June 14 to 16 at the Exhibition Palace in Nice.
