The 4th edition of the “Crazy Week!!!” festival will open its doors this evening to welcome, as usual, a variety of artists over 5 consecutive evenings.

It is the rock group Thirty Seconds to Mars that will open this year: if you haven’t listened to their music yet, you certainly know the face of the leader (guitar and vocals), Jared Leto, discovered as a TV series actor (Angela, 15 years old) then as a film actor (Requiem for a Dream, Mr. Nobody). But it is undoubtedly thanks to an advertisement that the majority of the public answers “yes of course, I know that face”, when Hugo Boss uses his mug in 2011 for his perfume “Just Different”.

On the music side, he composes and creates his group in 1998, accompanied by his brother Shannon on percussion and Tomo Milicevic to handle guitar, keyboard, bass and sometimes even violin. To be discovered as headliner on Tuesday, July 16th!

Opening act: Air Bag One.

Wednesday, July 17th, a big evening is in store: Asaf Avidan, an Israeli singer-songwriter who fills every venue he plays, is expected like the messiah at the Nice Théâtre de Verdure.
Especially by those who couldn’t see him a few months ago at the Théâtre Lino Ventura (tickets sold too quickly). And for good reason, a male artist whose voice tone is often compared to that of the late Janis Joplin, is definitely worth listening to.

The opportunity to discover his new album “Different Pulses” live, in an acoustic and therefore intimate format.

On the same evening, we find a loyal fan of Ivoire Music: Tété. Already invited to the 1st edition of “Crazy Week!!!” and to the Lino Ventura by Patrice Bouchon (festival director), he returns this Wednesday with his 5th album, “Nu là-bas” to dazzle us with an even more festive stage than usual, less formal, more wild. It’s well-timed, given the festival’s name.

(For once, let’s note the artist’s domain name which, with much originality and ingenuity, has a *.tt extension, not bad right? Even if the original meaning of this extension is completely off-topic, tete.tt is well thought out. Bet that from now on, you’ll never forget this address 😉
Opening act: Hyphen Hyphen.

Thursday, July 18th, an appointment with a “French discoveries” lineup. You will have the pleasure of applauding excellent musicians. As headliner, we present Concrete Knives, founded in 2007, for pop music. Their latest album, indie, was released in 2012 and is titled “Be Your Own King”. We can imagine them without compromises.

They will perform on the Théâtre de Verdure stage just after this mysterious artist: “Rover”, real name Timothée Régnier, an enigmatic character who makes himself known by word of mouth and concert by concert.
Not forgetting Jil is Lucky who keeps rising, after a school background in Nice (at Roland Garros middle school) and increasingly numerous stages. He too can be associated with a few fragrances: his music was chosen for another perfume ad: “Flower By Kenzo”.
Opening act: Dallas Frasca

Friday, July 19th also gives us a meeting with a French scene. A well-oiled one this time, calling upon what we call major labels whose artists play on loop on radio and everyone knows: Raphaël and Olivia Ruiz will share the bill for this penultimate evening to present their latest works and attract the crowds.
There’s no more doubt about Raphaël’s songwriting, rare in the French music landscape, and no more doubt either about the stage performance of the beautiful Olivia, who we’d almost let serve us mushroom crêpes for her beautiful dark and sparkling eyes. Two artists of fine sensitivity, one more tormented than the other no doubt, a fighter against a melancholic, two souls close to the surface, two genders, two musical styles serving the same cause: the French language. The evening promises to be beautiful.

And to end this new festival edition beautifully, see you Saturday, July 20th with an artist, also French: Imany. Photographers will be delighted to immortalize this perfect face. The singer shares her soul with palpable intensity. Her latest single, “Un Gospel Pour Madame” is a duet with… Tété! Consistency, how you hold us.

That evening, we will also meet Ben Ellis, former Brooklyn singer, a favorite of rock magazines, expected to deliver his catchy refrains and let us hear his new rock.

Opening act: A.JAM

Once again, great congratulations to the Ivoire Music team whose festival keeps growing. We asked Patrice Bouchon to describe his state in just one word, on the eve of the festival, and he replied: “happy”.
We wish him great success, this year again!
