Twelfth-grade students in the Nice academy discovered the provisional results of the 2026 baccalaureate on Tuesday, July 7. With 86.4% of successful candidates following the first set of exams, the academy is showing a success rate slightly above the national average. Make-up exams continue until July 10.

The provisional results of the 2026 baccalaureate were released on Tuesday, July 7 late morning for the 21,369 candidates in the Nice academy. Following the first set of exams, 18,469 students obtained the diploma, representing an admission rate of 86.4%. This result slightly exceeds the national average, set at 85.75%. Among those admitted, 10,099 are enrolled in Alpes-Maritimes and 8,370 in Var.

The general baccalaureate recorded an admission rate of 90.1%. The technological baccalaureate reached 81.3% and the professional baccalaureate 81.2%.

Honors also rewarded numerous candidates. In total, 290 students obtained the “Highest Honors with Congratulations from the Jury” distinction. Among these award winners, 256 are preparing a general baccalaureate, six a technological baccalaureate, and 28 a professional baccalaureate.

The Highest Honors distinction is awarded to 1,940 candidates. Juries also award 4,286 High Honors distinctions and 6,274 Honors distinctions.

Make-up exams until July 10

The second set of exams concerns 1,662 candidates, or 7.8% of those registered. These make-up oral exams take place until July 10.

Conversely, 1,238 candidates, or 5.8% of students who took exams in the Nice academy, are not admitted. An average below 8 out of 20 does not allow access to make-up exams.
