With this latest cull, the national quota of 36 will soon be reached.


The Alpes-Maritimes prefecture announced this Monday that a 20-kilogram female wolf was shot this Sunday by a hunter in the commune of Utelle, as part of a reinforced cull.

Since July 1, 2015, 14 wolves have been culled in the Alpes-Maritimes as part of the latest wolf management plan.

Implemented in July, this plan authorizes the culling of a total of 36 animals across French territory.
