This morning, Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, Deputy President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, Maty Diouf, Deputy Delegate for the Fight Against Discrimination and Women’s Rights, and Jennifer Salles Barbosa, Deputy Delegate for Solidarity and AnimaNice, Vice-President of the Social Action Community Center of the City of Nice, launched the couple violence barometer.

This Thursday marks the *International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women*. The City of Nice and the Social Action Community Center are running a promotional campaign for the [couple violence barometer](https://www.nicecotedazur.org/uploads/media_items/metropole-barometre-disque-txt-inverse-bd.original.pdf).

Its aim is to raise awareness among victims by *assessing the level of violence in their relationship*. Victims are not always aware of the verbal, psychological, sexual, and physical violence they endure, or they become accustomed to inappropriate behavior.

Three phases help determine whether a couple is relatively calm (green), in a warning situation (orange), or in danger (red).

This barometer is *distributed on the Promenade du Paillon* until November 27. It can help *identify alarming phenomena* that hinder the personal development of a partner and could potentially exacerbate violence.

For these *three days*, *professionals in supporting victims of violence* (psychologists from the CCAS, the Victim Assistance House, and associations Montjoye and A Voice for Them will be present alongside the team from the Anti-Discrimination and Women’s Rights Service) are available to help those in need.

As a reminder, you can call *3919* 24/7 if you are a victim of violence. This platform is free and anonymous, providing help and support.
