A beautiful display of solidarity at the Henri Germain Institute

Latest News

Four associations have mobilized to participate in the funding of an outdoor play and motor skills area with a total cost of €80,000 at the Institut Henri Germain, which supports 36 children and adolescents with multiple disabilities (ranging from 8 to 20 years old in boarding and 12 in day care or sequential care):

• The association Les 1000 pattes, the Camille association, the Transdance association

• The Xtraining room, Crédit Mutuel Nice République, and the Nice Côte d’Azur Airports Foundation

Their combined efforts have covered the costs related to the equipment for this area, namely:

• An adapted climbing wall (with a progressive incline)

• Basketball hoops at specific heights

• Swings equipped with systems ensuring the safety of children in wheelchairs.

This well-fitted equipment, tailored to the needs of the children, will enrich the means of motor stimulation while associating a playful dimension to which every child is entitled. Motor skills require particular attention, as the children accommodated have difficulties moving and interacting with their environment.

Chantal Garric, president of the social life council, representing the parents, shared her comments: “I find all these facilities beautiful, they are colorful, cheerful, and adapted. They will allow our children to open up to the world, to exceed their limits as much as possible, and to feel the joy of engaging in physical activity and playing like any other child.”

“I thank the associations, the entire team of caregivers, and all the parents for their perseverance in realizing this project.”
