Since 1951, the “Semaine Bleue” has been held throughout France. These seven annual days provide a special moment for those working regularly with the elderly, allowing them to organize activities throughout the week to create bonds between generations by inviting the general public to become aware of the place and social role that our seniors play in society.
The Nice Municipal Social Action Center is organizing activities all this week in its Care Homes for Dependent Elderly People (EHPAD) and its Residential Facilities for Elderly People (EHPA) (see complete list below).
On this occasion, a walk is organized on the Promenade du Paillon this Thursday, October 15th, at 11 a.m.
This walk is directly part of the fight against the loss of autonomy and the improvement of the quality of life for those housed in institutions, or vulnerable people living at home, and their non-medical care.
For seniors, the walk should be entertaining, educational to preserve autonomy, collective to maintain socialization, and festive (it will be accompanied by roaming musicians from the Nice tradition).
