Yesterday afternoon, Christian Estrosi visited the Bermond urban farm, winner of the Environment Trophies in 2019, located in the heart of the Moulins district.
Supported since its inception by the city of Nice, the Bermond farm has recently received aid to develop new innovative educational projects, helping to raise awareness among an ever-wider audience about sustainable development, urban agriculture, and permaculture (designing self-sufficient and environmentally respectful living and cultivation spaces). The farm will also be able to expand school visits.
With an area of 2000 square meters, this farm has more than 80 members, around a hundred poultry residents, a vegetable garden, and a composting center. Gardening, recycling, or composting activities are regularly organized, in addition to the sale of fruits, vegetables, honey, eggs, and jam.
