Twelve years already that this energetic Association based in Cagnes-sur-Mer has been offering us a rich program in various locations of the region (and they are rare – ed.). Artists as diverse and talented as: Miossec, Sinclair, Cali, Sanseverino, Bumcello, Luke, La Grande Sophie, or noJazz, to name only the most popular ones.

Because A Capella makes it a point to systematically offer the audience regional artists as opening acts. This is how Chinaski, loOp, Tres Hombres, Sinké Zakéou, Amadeus Tappioka, or Maupity, among others, have taken to the same stage as Miossec, Bumcello, Cali, Kana, La Grande Sophie, or Kinito.
A Capella is part of the U.D.C.M network
Since January 2004, it has coordinated the network’s actions in the Alpes-Maritimes. This involves advising preselected local artists for the Printemps de Bourges, on their communications as well as their career developments (operation “Attention Talent Scène”). Since 2001, A Capella has been organizing the “Talents of the South,” parallel to the Midem in Cannes,

a festival whose program is exclusively reserved for local groups in the pre-professionalization phase. This has allowed some Côte d’Azur artists to sign with labels. This massive amount of work accomplished by these cultural workhorses was not enough for them. A Capella chose to produce the first album of Caligagan, a subtle blend of reggae and soul. The album “Seven Languages” was released in February 2006 through Nocturne distribution.
