On the sidelines of the carnival festivities that began last night at Place Massรฉna, it will be cuisine that takes center stage in the heart of the old town with an extraordinary meeting between Niรงoise and Italian chefs around an emblematic dish of their city: the Stockfish. Join us this Sunday from 6 PM to taste one of the signature dishes of Niรงoise… and Venetian cuisine!
Teolo, a town located in Veneto, organizes a festival every year around a dish well-known in Nice and on the Cรดte d’Azur: the Stockfish. It was a perfect opportunity for the Tourism Office and its director Denis Zanon, whose grandfather is from this region, to bring together specialists from these two cuisines, which for the occasion will become one.
This is how a transalpine delegation consisting of the Mayor of Teolo, Moreno VALDISOLO, his Deputy Mayor and his Advisor, Nevio SANVIDO and Matteo TURETTA, the President of the Colli Euganei Regional Park, Gianni BIASETTO, the President of the Pro Loco (cultural association), Giuseppe SEGATO and its Vice-President, Mario SGARABOTTOLO, and the chefs Fabio LAGNARO and Enrico PANZARASA, along with the sommelier Lisa CHILESE, will be at the Restaurant Lu Fran Calin from 6 PM for a Stockfish tasting offered to the public, followed by a dinner presided over by the Deputy and Tourism Deputy Rudy Salles and prepared by the two Niรงoise chefs Daniel Silvetti and Franck Bermond, and the ice cream maker Pier Veyrat from Gelateria Azzurro.
A meeting that will lead to others, since, starting in spring, a Niรงoise delegation will head to Teolo to taste this common culinary specialty and introduce the Venetians to the array of Niรงoise cuisine.
