TF1 is launching a casting call for the period mini-series “Été 36,” which will take place mainly in Nice. The production is looking for actors and actresses for small roles and speaking extras. Filming is scheduled between April 1 and May 16, 2025.
“Été 36” is the last installment of a trilogy that began with “Le Bazar de la Charité” and continued with “Les Combattantes.” The plot unfolds in July 1936, as the introduction of paid vacations stirs up French society. Bourgeois and workers mingle on the French Riviera, while a murder occurs at the Hotel Negresco. This is an opportunity to meet renowned actresses such as Audrey Fleurot, Camille Lou, Julie de Bona, and Sofia Essaïdi.
A casting open to PACA residents
The production is looking for various profiles to portray the inhabitants of Nice in the 1930s: café owners, shopkeepers, office workers, and small tradesmen. A couple speaking German or Polish, aged 35 to 45, is also sought. The casting is reserved for residents of the PACA region.
The casting will take place in February in Nice and Marseille. The dates are yet to be determined. The remuneration will be at least the minimum union rate according to the audiovisual convention. To apply, you need to send an email with a resume, recent photos, and a demo reel to the production’s address. You can do so via this link.
The series is set to air in the fall of 2025 on TF1.
