The city of Nice, in partnership with Crédit Municipal, is organizing a charity auction in October. The goal: to raise funds to support local associations that assist people with disabilities and autistic children. A call for donations of valuable items has been made to individuals and professionals.
As part of its autism plan, the City of Nice, driven by Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, and Magali Altounian, Deputy Mayor, is committed to improving the daily lives of people with disabilities. On July 16, a call for donations was made for a charity auction scheduled for October. This project, conducted with Crédit Municipal, aims to collect art objects, jewelry, furniture, and even service offerings. The organizers will donate the proceeds to local associations working for the inclusion and well-being of autistic individuals.
A Charitable Project to Support Local Associations
This initiative is part of the autism plan unveiled last April by the Nice municipality. The objective is to raise awareness and mobilize the community around an important cause: the inclusion of autistic and disabled individuals. Everyone can participate in the call for donations: individuals, businesses, associations, or sports clubs. Every contribution counts, whether it’s an art object, jewelry, furniture, or a service. It could be a meal at a restaurant or even a show ticket.
“This auction is a unique opportunity to transform items or services into concrete support for those who need it most,” stated Magali Altounian, Deputy Mayor and Vice President of Crédit Municipal.
What Donations Are Expected?
The organizers of the auction have detailed the types of donations they hope to collect:
Art and decoration items: paintings, sculptures, crystals, earthenware
Jewelry and watches: collectible pieces, luxury watches, or precious jewelry
Wines and spirits: rare or vintage bottles
Small furniture: designer or vintage furniture
Fashion accessories and rare objects: designer bags, musical instruments, vintage toys
Service offerings: hotel night stay, gourmet meal, show ticket, invitation to a sporting event
All these donations will be carefully cataloged and displayed at Crédit Municipal’s premises before being put up for sale in October.
An Auction to Change Lives
The auction, which will be held in the Crédit Municipal de Nice auction room, will be the flagship event of this campaign. The organizers will donate all funds collected to Nice associations involved in supporting autistic individuals and people with disabilities.
