A charity concert at the Opera in support of the Friends of Lacassagne

This Thursday, November 7th, at 8 PM, at the Montserrat-Caballé Hall, the Friends of Lacassagne are organizing a charity concert to benefit the works of this establishment, whose renown is already well-established.

Soprano Norah Amsellem will be the star of the evening and will perform arias from Bellini, Puccini, Gounod, Poulenc, Charpentier, Rachmaninoff, and Gershwin, accompanied on piano by Thibaud EPP.

With a rich and elegant voice, Norah Amsellem trained at the Radio France Choir and simultaneously studied harp and piano, before joining the Westminster Choir College across the Atlantic in the class of Dalton BALDWIN and the Juilliard School, where she honed her technique and interpretation with Lorraine NUBAR.

With her diplomas in hand, Norah Amsellem is a laureate of the Metropolitan Opera, which offered her first steps on stage; she performed there about thirty times between 1995 and 2007. The Glyndebourne Festival, La Scala in Milan, the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Deutsche Oper in Berlin, and the Royal Opera House in London were her first European stages.

Since then, she has developed an international career in Europe and America, with notable appearances in France in places such as Orange, Toulouse, Lyon, Bordeaux, Avignon, Paris, Aix, Antibes, Caen, Auvers sur Oise, Montpellier, Beaulieu, Cannes, Grasse, and Nice.
