“As a former Vice-President of the Italian Rugby Federation and a current shareholder of the Nice club, it was quite natural to set up this event to help a region that suffered a real natural disaster.” Renato Tullio Ferrari quickly ended up with a great “package” of collaborators who graciously got involved in organizing this rugby day.
The program for this upcoming Saturday, June 20th, features a major rugby event organized by the Nice rugby school, which is one of the premier rugby schools in France, followed by the presentation of former international players from the Azurean region and other sports and political figures from Italy. This will be followed by the match between L’Aquila and Nice, ending with a big third half in the club’s clubhouse.
“It was natural for the club to make itself available for this cause. Plus, us English leading a French club to help the Italians, this is also what makes Europe.” Anthony Hill, the manager of the Nice club, scores a try.
So, before celebrating music the following Sunday, how about celebrating rugby and solidarity in an entirely rugby atmosphere… and for only 10 euros?
