In order to provide a meal and festive products to the most disadvantaged, Carrefour Nice TNL and Carrefour Nice Lingostière are organizing, until December 14th, the first edition of the “A Christmas for Everyone” operation. This large collection will allow customers to make a donation at the checkout for the benefit of Restos du Cœur.
During this festive period, the brand is stepping up by supporting Restos du Cœur. The principle: a special coupon will be distributed to customers in stores so they can participate in the operation. Once at checkout, they simply indicate the amount they wish to donate, with a minimum of 1€. This donation, directly given to the local branches of Restos du Cœur, will be used to fund Christmas meals or festive products for the beneficiaries of the organization.
In parallel, the Carrefour Foundation has released a grant of €100,000 for “Bébés du Cœur,” which notably distributes infant formula and growing-up milk to disadvantaged families.
This project supports parents and future parents by offering, in particular, food products suitable for babies and young children. During the Christmas period, the parents of 14,000 babies will receive growing-up milk thanks to this grant, meaning approximately 28,000 units distributed in one month via Restos du Coeur.
Carrefour’s support for the local branches of Restos du Cœur is part of the ongoing national partnership with the organization, which continues beyond the Christmas period. Each day, the association’s trucks collect goods from Carrefour stores to redistribute them through its networks. In 2013, Carrefour distributed the equivalent of more than 68 million meals to charitable organizations.
