On Wednesday, December 1st, on the occasion of World AIDS Day, a plaque was unveiled in Nice, at the Sosno Garden, to commemorate the victims of this 40-year-long pandemic. On this plaque, one can see the work “Vive l’amour” by the American artist Niki de Saint Phalle, represented at the commemoration by her granddaughter Bloum Cardenas.
The Collectif 06 against AIDS, Christian Estrosi, and Edouard Philippe, the former Prime Minister, were also present. After laying roses in front of the plaque and observing a minute of silence, several people spoke to pay tribute to the victims of AIDS.
