“A Day, A Profession” A week of national mobilization of businesses for middle school students

From February 10 to 14, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, twenty-five companies of the IMS-Enterprising Network for the City (www.imsentreprendre.com) will mobilize to introduce their professions to nearly 550 middle school students from disadvantaged neighborhoods.

A week during which the students, in immersion, will meet with employees to better envision their professional future.

In Nice, students from the Jean-Henri Fabre middle school will discover the careers at Orange company this Tuesday, February 11, 2014, from 2 PM to 5 PM at 44 avenue Cyrille Besset.

Building on last year’s success, the seventh edition of “One Day, One Profession” will take place over five days this year.

From February 10 to 14, 2014, nearly 550 third-year middle school students, from thirty schools nationwide, will spend a day in a company to meet employees and better understand their daily work.

This day will constitute an important step for these young people, at the first crossroads of their professional orientation, who too often limit their career horizon to the professions known within their family and social environment.

This year, twenty-five companies will participate in the operation nationwide: AXA, Banque de France, Batigère, Cap Gemini, Crédit Agricole, Crit, Décomatique, DLA Piper, EDF, ERDF, France Télévisions, Freshfields, HSBC, Intel, La Poste, Legal & General, Linklaters, Lyonnaise des Eaux, Monoprix, Orange, Salesforce Foundation, Seb, SFR, TNT, and UBS.
