Next Friday will mark one year to the day since the attack at the Notre-Dame de lโ€™Assomption Basilica in Nice.

In tribute to the three victims of the attack killed on October 29, 2020, a day will be dedicated to their memory.

This tribute will begin first at 8:45 a.m., with the city’s administrations and services pausing for reflection, while the churches in Nice will toll their bells.

The day will resume at 5 p.m. with the unveiling of a work by the artist Thรฉo Tobiasse in front of the basilica, titled โ€œThe Dove of Peaceโ€, created in tribute to the victims. Residents of Nice will then be able to pay their respects in front of the artwork and lay roses.

At 5:30 p.m., a plaque in memory of the victims will be unveiled, followed by a performance of a song by one of the victims’ children.

Finally, the day will conclude with an organ and singing concert by Elizabeth Vidal, a Nice-born soprano. After the concert, Monseigneur Andrรฉ Marceau will lead the mass, which will begin at 7 p.m..
