What a day!!! Honestly, we invite everyone to experience days like the one we just had, among people fully devoted to a world where differences don’t exist.
Le Chemin des Rรชves is an association from Nice created in September 2003, which includes members from France and Belgium. It organizes recreational days, sporting events, and discussion groups, all with the goal of integrating children and adults with disabilities, demonstrating that there should be no differences among people.
We attended a “Dream Meal” which began with a friendly rugby match, followed by a soccer game where the participants included none other than the rugby players “Les Camรฉlรฉons” (veterans), soccer players, SAMU personnel, family members, and friends, who all gave their best under the blazing sun, but rest assured, the hose was also present waiting to be used.
After the matches, it was time for rewards, and all present had shining eyes; happiness was not in the meadow but in the “Laurentin Rugby Stadium,” kindly made available by Mr. Michel SICARD, President of the Stadium. Gรฉrard and Christophe handled this prize-giving ceremony, after which “Les Camรฉlรฉons” sang a song …Domino-mino, domino-minette…..! much to everyone’s delight.
Then came the crucial moment of lighting the barbecue, during which Gรฉrard BRACHINI, a rugby player, transformed into a chef (see photo), helped by several people and Nicolas RODA, who had organized the “Tournament of Hope,” which was a resounding success, promising to do it again next year with more teams … the call is launched.
Surrounded by such kindness, joy of life, and cheerfulness, one can only leave this day feeling enriched and with a heart full of love given by exceptional people, where truly there are no differences among those present who share the same goal: to enjoy a barbecue and a day out in the open air among friends from all walks of life.
This friendly event was animated throughout the afternoon by the group “KMISOL,” who provided a festive atmosphere and got everyone dancing.
Thank you to everyone and see you next time.
