A demonstration will take place on Saturday, September 24, at the Verdure Theater to support law enforcement. It will head towards the Palace of Justice where it is expected to conclude.
It is Philippe Vardon along with the municipal elected officials of the group Retrouver Nice who are taking this initiative. They also have the support of the Reconquรชte! federation, which is joining this demonstration. They offer their full support to the law enforcement officers.
This echoes the altercation on Henri Matisse Avenue at the beginning of September. A police officer had to use his firearm after a suspect refused to comply. Such refusals are becoming more frequent across the country. Notably, on Monday, September 19, in Anzin in the North, during a customs check, a motorist ran over a police officer with his vehicle and fled the scene.
