In the summer of 2008, he brightened up the airwaves with his song that smells of warm sand! “Finally,” William Baldé would say.
Yes, this generous artist has been taking his compositions around France for many years. Ten years ago, at La Bodega, he met Christophe Maé. “He asked if he could play with us and I said no, because we were already a structured group, but that if he wanted, he could play before us,” recalls William Baldé.
And ten years later, it’s William Baldé who is the opening act for Christophe Maé.
On Friday, February 20th, it’s William Baldé who will put on a show at the Lino Ventura Theater. This winter season, this artist will brighten up the Nice scene with the melodies found in his album “En corps étranger,” released in 2008, featuring reggae, soul, and rhythm and blues.
Before you delve into his musical adventure, we suggest you travel with the images of William Baldé.

N-P: A detour through St Tropez.
W.B.: There, I see career opportunities.
N-P: Let’s go to Nice now.
W.B.: I don’t have good memories of Nice. On the Cours Saleya, I was picked up by the police because I was playing in the street.
N-P: We go to Cannes.
W.B.: Cannes? No opinion. I don’t like it.
N-P: And finally, let’s stop at a place you like.
W.B.: In Paris, in Marseille… I like lots of places… India, Asia, Africa. Some parts of the United States, some parts of South America. I am not a fan of Australia at all. I love the islands and I understand the pains of the people living there.
