Young students in a DUT Commercial Techniques program at the University of Nice organized a fashion show for the benefit of the association “Les Blouses Roses,” on Friday, February 6th. It was the Ellington Hotel in Nice that hosted this event for the third consecutive year. Neal Maupy, the rising star of OGC Nice, is the patron of this event.
Eager to familiarize the public with the nonprofit sector and the actions carried out by volunteers, the students from the IUT of Nice focused their project on organizing a fashion show to benefit “Les Blouses Roses.” This association aims to entertain and bring a bit of joy to people who are ill, from children to the elderly, through playful and creative activities.
A successful evening for the students. The hall provided by the hotel was full. Good news for them and for the project which was a great success. “The study project was to organize a non-profit event. With my colleagues, we chose to do a fashion show because it’s something people are not used to seeing. Since it was for a good cause, I think it’s a good idea,” says Lula Poulet, a second-year student at the IUT of Nice.
“It’s a beautiful project. We learned a lot during its execution. We had to anticipate and bounce back from each obstacle. We had to calculate everything, plan everything, the DJs, the venue, the photographers, the sound, etc. We worked a lot, in groups of five, since September,” she adds.
A day full of emotion for the student and her colleagues who can congratulate themselves on their organization and efforts. For Lula Poulet, her best memory is the closing of this evening because everything went very well. Now, all that’s left is to find out the grade her professor will give the project.
