From July 14 to 30, the Festival of Words invites you to seven meetings with exceptional readers.
Talent, charm, and quality of the texts are the ingredients of special moments where words take flight, time stops, and minds meet for a respite of silence, reflection, and shared pleasure that some will want to extend through the reading or re-reading of the presented works.
Reading, a personal pleasure, an opening to the world, an invitation to reflection, which renowned readers invite the greatest number to share. Such is the magic of the Festival of Words, a cultural, human values, and sensitivity parenthesis.
Eight of the big names in French cinema and theater have agreed, for our greatest delight, to bring great literary texts to life at this festival that has become a cult event of the Summer Evenings.
In turn, Patrick Chesnais, Charles Berling, Irรจne Jacob, and Jรฉrรดme Kircher, Patrick Poivre dโArvor, Maruschka Detmers, Francis Huster, and Pierre Santini invite locals and tourists, on village squares, in open-air theaters or other historically rich locations of seven communes in the department.
These renowned actors will be, during the readings, conveyors of words who will take us into the universe of great writers, the pride of our heritage.
A true “invitation to travel” for all lovers of literature and the staunch supporters of the Festival of Words.
