Started on October 14th, the 16th edition of the European Short Film Festival of Nice concluded with the awarding of about ten prizes during the Closing Ceremony held at the National Theatre of Nice.
Organized by the Hรฉliotrope association, the festival continues its work and commitment to the distribution and promotion of films under 1 hour to the general public. A festival constantly in motion, it seeks to break out of the frame, move the barriers between artistic disciplines, and open up programming: yesterday, music and photography, tomorrow digital arts and theater.
Competitions, thematic programs, professional meetings, and musical evenings, the festival “It’s Too Short!” organized 8 days of festivities across about ten cultural venues in Nice: cinemas, art centers, museums, theaters… 60 screenings, 170 works, 50 guests and creators from all over Europe.
The heart of the festival, the official selection, was composed of 4 competitions: European, Experience, Local Shorts, and Animation Shorts, showcasing about twenty nationalities. This selection was submitted to the votes of 4 professional juries.
