This Thursday, a fire broke out in Isola (Alpes-Maritimes)
Yesterday, in the late afternoon, a fire was reported at an altitude of 1500 meters in Isola.
Firefighters dispatched to the scene stated that the fire had started in “an inaccessible place, you can’t even see it from the road.” To fight the fire, the firefighters had to be airlifted. Three water bomber helicopters were also deployed for reconnaissance.
This morning, the fire was still raging. At 7:30 a.m., firefighters estimated that between 5 and 6 hectares had already been burned.
In response to such spread, reinforcements were sent to Isola to help extinguish the flames, and a significant operation was set up.
