A Food Camp hosted by Tamara at the Maison de l’Environnement in Nice

She was one of the standout candidates of this new season of Masterchef, and her beauty is matched only by her passion for cooking. Tamara Gerboval loves Nice, and it is in “her” city that she decided to highlight her passion with a “Food Camp” on November 11 at the Maison de l’Environnement de Nice before opening her cooking workshop shortly afterwards at the Port of Nice.

food_camp_tamara.jpg A must-attend event for lovers of good food, who will have the opportunity to share their passion with many prestigious guests and local chefs.

Demonstrations by Tamara, Noémie Honiat, Franck Viano, and many other participants from cooking shows, as well as local chefs from Les Toques Brûlées, will punctuate the day with a great cooking contest, discovery workshops (olives and their products, cupcakes, or culinary photography), and cooking demonstrations (sweet Pan bagnats, plating, oenology).

In short, enough to delight the foodie within us. But Tamara, tell us a bit about your “Food Camp”…

Tamara, what is a Food Camp?

It is a non-conference on the theme of cooking, nutrition, and sustainable development related to new information and communication technologies.

This gathering represents a privileged moment of sharing between food enthusiasts (chefs, bloggers, amateurs) around practical workshops and experience sharing.

Each participant registers in advance, innovation and creativity will be at the forefront.

But who better than the event’s creator, in collaboration with photographer Aline Gérard, to tell us about it…

Nice Premium: Tamara, why a “Food Camp” in Nice?

Tamara Gerboval: I really wanted to share my passion for cooking, and the convivial aspect of the Food Camp immediately appealed to me. Also, Nice is a warm city. It especially has a true gastronomic heritage, and therefore many enthusiasts… and many food lovers!

NP: Why should we mark our calendars for this coming Sunday, November 11?

TG: Sunday, November 11, marks the start of the first Food Camp in Nice, it’s a date to remember. Indeed, it will be an opportunity to exchange with chefs or amateurs, to discover and deepen your knowledge around various workshops (oenology, culinary photography, culinary workshops…). You can share around cuisine and also taste new flavors. For the more adventurous, we are organizing a cooking contest and a culinary photography contest.

Children will also find joy after having fun on the playground as we have reserved a workshop and an activity around gardening and beekeeping for them.

To extend the dream, one of the region’s greatest culinary photographers, Aline Gérard, will offer a magnificent exhibition, a true visual feast.

NP: A project that leads to another, can you tell us more about your workshop?

TG: Of course, I’m so passionate that it seemed impossible to keep it all to myself!

So, creating a friendly and gourmet culinary workshop seemed essential. Macarons and foie gras will be highlighted, but also delicious, easy, and quick recipes for lunchtime. Wednesdays will be dedicated to children and Thursday evenings for adults to create cocktail dinners. I am also considering very gourmet brunches…

NP: Finally, you will be happy on Sunday, November 11, in the evening, if…?

TG: If everyone enjoys themselves and finds happiness either by cooking or tasting. I would like to see eyes sparkle and the desire to cook appear in the eyes of the visitors.

If we all, visitors and presenters, have a pleasant time around this culinary sharing.
