For a few days now on the Promenade des Anglais, we can see the new work by the artist Too Late: a giant cigarette pack.
A giant cigarette pack, open and filled with no less than 10,000 cigarette butts, collected by the Nice Plogging collective. On it is also written “here is the work of a pack of big jerks.”
The message is clear, this piece denounces cigarette butt pollution on beaches and in streets. Let us remember that cigarette butts are one of the leading sources of ocean pollution.
Since March 2020, the artist who goes by the name Too Late has been using the street as the gallery for his deeply political claims. His work is notably centered on ecology. His artist name refers to the idea that, according to him, people will realize the urgency of environmental issues when it is too late.
In the hope that this work will be accompanied by a public awakening.
