“The French can make their reservations,” declared Prime Minister Edouard Philippe, specifying that the managers of “tourist and hotel structures” have committed to ensuring a full refund in case the progression of the epidemic does not allow holidays to take place.
“Tourism must undoubtedly face the worst test in modern history; it is one of the flagships of the French economy, and its rescue is therefore a national priority,” added Philippe, unveiling a massive recovery plan for the sector that represents an “18 billion euros commitment” from the French public finances.
