The growth of the gross domestic product (GDP) reached 1.1% in France in 2016, after accelerating in the fourth quarter where it stood at 0.4%, announced Insee this Tuesday.
This figure is significantly lower than the government’s forecasts, which were counting on a 1.4% increase in GDP for the whole year. In 2015, growth was 1.2%.
