OGC Nice hosts the Parisian leader tonight at their Allianz Riviera stadium at 8:30 PM. It’s a major event that holds special significance for the people of Nice.
Nice likes the big teams. To each their own. While the Eaglets have become accustomed to dismissing easy targets, they have, however, successively imposed their law against Rennes, Marseille, Saint-Etienne, and Lyon. It’s an impressive track record but one that remains far below the level of Paris. And while the Gym is reputed to be the second team currently producing the most play in our league, they will need to prove their effectiveness against the club from the capital.
To achieve this, Nice didn’t hesitate to rest their key players this week in Lorient. Seri, Koziello, Germain, and Ben Arfa, for instance, didn’t start the match. Slightly injured, the latter even missed the trip. The Nice dynamo will indeed be ready for the game tonight. All these precautions regarding the players’ health clearly show Nice’s determination to achieve a result. Obviously, the task is very complicated, but not impossible. As proof, Angers took a point on Tuesday at Jean Bouin against this same PSG.
The Eaglets will, in any case, be fully committed. This type of match offers a superb showcase for the players as well as for the club. Jean-Mickaël Seri shared a week ago that catching the eye of Barça scouts during a match against PSG wouldn’t displease him at all. Now, the only thing left is to shine. And that will be no easy feat.
