The Jules Bianchi Karting Marathon is taking place from September 6 to 8, 2024, at the Paul Ricard circuit karting track. Several teams of amateurs and professionals will compete in a marathon of over 42 hours.
For the second consecutive year, the karting track at the Paul Ricard circuit is hosting the Jules Bianchi Karting Marathon. The program includes teams of between five and twenty drivers participating in a relay race lasting 42 hours, 19 minutes, and 50 seconds. Professionals and amateurs will compete simultaneously on the track. Well-known names such as Charles Leclerc, Claudio Capรฉo, and Paul and Victor Belmondo will participate. This initiative, undertaken by Philippe Bianchi and Franck Lagorce, aims to raise funds for the Jules Bianchi Association.
This association supports the L’Archet hospital in Nice. It provides assistance both in terms of equipment and moral support. The choice of L’Archet Hospital is not random. It is there that Jules Bianchi, the tragically deceased Formula 1 driver, spent his last months in the USCL department (Care Units for Severely Brain-Injured Patients, ed.). This marathon is also a way to pay tribute to Jules Bianchi, for whom racing was above all a passion.
The event remains free of charge for those curious to visit and catch a glimpse of their favorite personalities on the track. New for this year, it will also be broadcast live on the YouTube channel Bianchi Lagorce Events.
